Selah does not require an account and does not sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps. Reading the Bible is fully offline. Your personal content stays on your device.
Your reading position, bookmarks, highlights, notes, saved prayers, reading streak and plan progress are stored only on your device. We never receive them.
To power the AI features and verify your subscription, the app signs in anonymously (an anonymous Firebase user ID). It is not linked to your name, email or contacts.
When you use an AI feature (Ask, Explain, a devotional, or a composed prayer), your request and the relevant Bible verses are sent over a secure connection to our backend and our AI provider (fal.ai) solely to generate the response. This content is processed transiently to provide the feature, is not linked to your identity, and is not used by us to train models.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to check your subscription status against your anonymous ID. We never see your payment details.
The bundled translations (World English Bible, King James Version) are in the public domain.
Selah is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
